ABOUT
Recently awarded 3rd Prize and ARTE Prize at the 2022 La Maestra Conducting Competition organized by the Paris Philharmonie, Beatriz Fernández has been praised by her control and attention to detail, her ample and expressive gesture, and her accurate interpretations. She has served as Music and Artistic Director of the Orquesta Filarmónica de la Universidad de Valencia.
Recent appearances include performances with the Paris Mozart Orchestra, RTVE Orchestra, Bilbao Symphony Orchestra, Orquesta Sinfonica de Castilla y León, Orquesta Filarmónica de Gran Canaria ,Orquesta de Córdoba, Orquesta de Valencia, Orquesta Sinfónica de la Región de Murcia, Orquesta de Extremadura, Orquesta Sinfónica de Navarra, Orquesta de la Comunidad Valenciana, as well as engagements in France, Italy, Mexico and South Korea.
She has also worked with the most prestigious wind bands in of the Valencian region and with the Banda Municipal de Barcelona.
Upcoming highlights will see her appear as guest conductor with the Orquesta Sinfónica de les Illes Balears, Orquesta de Valencia, Orquesta Filarmónica de Málaga, Orquesta Nacional de España, Orquesta Sinfónica de Barcelona, Philharmonie Zuidnerderland and the Paris Mozart Orchestra.
She has studied with Maestros Joshard Daus from the University of Mainz, with Peter Gülke at the Mozarteum University, and with Michel Tabachnik at Accademia Musicale Chigiana. She has also pursued a post-graduate degree in contemporary repertoire with Arturo Tamayo at the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana in Lugano. Beatriz has also taking part in the Riccardo Muti Italian Opera Academy and at the Académy of the Festival Aix-en-Provence.
In the last years she has received advice by Juanjo Mena and Alondra de la Parra.
